Getting started
What is Riya Madura?
Riya Madura is a Sri Lankan automotive marketplace. Private sellers and dealers list cars, SUVs, vans, motorcycles, three-wheelers, lorries, buses and other vehicles, and buyers contact them directly. Listings cover all 25 districts.
Is Riya Madura free to use?
Searching, comparing and contacting sellers is free. Sellers can choose a listing package or a single paid listing; current prices are on the Pricing page.
Do I need an account?
You can browse and search without an account. You need a free account to post a vehicle, save vehicles and searches, and message sellers.
Which areas does Riya Madura cover?
All of Sri Lanka. Search the whole island or narrow results to any of the 25 districts.
Buying safely
How do I contact a seller?
Open the vehicle page and use the contact options the seller has turned on: call, WhatsApp or a message. Arrange to see the vehicle before you agree on a price.
How can I avoid scams?
Never pay a deposit before you have seen the vehicle and its documents. Meet in a safe public place and be wary of prices far below the market, sellers who refuse to meet, and fake payment SMS messages.
What should I check before buying a vehicle?
Inspect the vehicle in daylight, take a test drive, and check that the registration certificate (CR) matches the chassis and engine numbers and the seller’s identity. Consider an independent inspection and confirm there is no outstanding lease or finance.
Does Riya Madura inspect vehicles or handle payments?
No. Riya Madura connects buyers and sellers. We do not inspect vehicles, verify ownership or accident history, or hold payments. A Verified dealer badge means we reviewed the business registration only.
Selling & posting
How do I list my vehicle?
Sign in, choose Post Your Ad, pick the vehicle type, then add the make, model, year, mileage, price, district and clear photos. Paid listings are confirmed through PayHere before they are published.
How long does it take for my ad to appear?
Most listings go live when they are posted. Listings may be reviewed against our Posting Rules, and prices far outside the usual range are checked by a moderator first.
Are my registration and chassis numbers shown?
No. If you add them they are encrypted and used only by our moderators for disputes and duplicate checks. Buyers never see them.
How do I edit or remove my listing?
Go to My Ads in your dashboard, open the listing and choose edit, mark as sold or delete.
Pricing & payments
How much does it cost to list a vehicle?
See the Pricing page for the current single-listing prices, packages and promotion prices.
Do packages renew automatically?
No. Every package is a one-time payment and nothing renews unless you buy again.
What payment methods are accepted?
Payments are made in LKR through PayHere’s secure checkout. Riya Madura never sees or stores your full card number.
What do promotions do?
Promotions give a listing extra visibility for a set period, such as a Featured spot on the home page. They increase visibility but do not guarantee a sale.
Account & privacy
How do I reset my password?
On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password and follow the link we email you.
How do I become a verified dealer?
Create your dealer profile from your account menu and choose Request verification. Our team reviews your business registration before the badge appears.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from your dashboard settings. This removes your profile and listings from public view.
How do I report a listing?
Use Report this listing on the vehicle page. Reports help our team remove scams and listings that break the Posting Rules.
